KABIR NAVPANTH ASHRAM AND THE GREAT SAINT KABIR DAS

The Great Saint Kabir Das is mostly known through his poetic works, he is rarely recognized as a Great Saint belonging to the highest peak of spirituality.

ALMIGHTY, The Supreme Father is in fact one and only one, and there is no possibility of his being more than one. The Supreme father is at the apex of all creation. The Great saint
Kabir Das descended from this peak every time he visited this world with the sole purpose of arranging true salvation, He is also known as the founder of Sant Mat in this world. Sant Mant calls this peak of spirituality as "Radhasoami Dham" or "Nij Dham". Great Saint Kabir Das was also the first to make a hint of "Radhasoami" in the following lines:

कबीर धारा अगम की, सतगुरु दियो लखाये
उलट ताहे सुमिरन करो, स्वामी संग मिलाये

Kabir Dhara Agam Ki, Satguru Diyo Lakhaye
Ulut Tahe Sumiran Karo, Swami Sung Milaye

Explanation:
The Satguru (Guru) has shown (make known) the current (Dhara) from the topmost regions of spirituality. Just reverse it (reverse of Dhara is Radha) and add Soami to it (thus it becomes Radhasoami) and remembner this name all the time.

Note: 'Agam' is in fact the name of a 'Lok' (an area), which is in fact, one of the divisions of the pure spiritual region, but here 'Kabir' does not refer to that region. The word 'Agam' literally means belonging to the front ranks and here 'Kabir' hints to a region of the top most rank.

Great Saint
Kabir Das boldly rejected all religions and rituals, He clearly explained that the Supreme Father is much above all these religions and rituals. His famous lines:

मोको कहाँ ढूंढे रे बन्दे, मैं तो तेरे पास में
Moko kahan dhoonde re bande, mien to tere paas mien

Where do you search for me oh humble seeker, I am within you or very close to you.

ना तीरथ में ना मूरत में, ना एकांत निवास में
Naa teerath mien naa moorat mien, naa ekant niwas mien.

I am not to be found in pilgrim places nor in the idols and statues nor in the solitude.

ना मन्दिर में ना मस्जिद में, ना काबे कैलास में
Naa mandir mien naa maszid mien, naa kaabe kailas mien

I am neither to be found in a temple nor in a mosque, neither in kaaba (the sacred place of Muslims) nor in kailas (a sacred place of Hindus). Here 'Kabir' says that the Lord is not present in the place of worships or sacred places of different religions. Great Saint Kabir Das was the founder of Sant Mat and propounded the doctrine that the prevailing relgions are all products of 'Maya', designed to keep the soul in bondage and real salvation is only possible through Sant Mat www.santmatunderstanding.blogspot.com

मैं तो तेरे पास में बन्दे, मैं तो तेरे पास में
Mien to
tere paas mien bunde, mien to tere paas mien

I am somewhere close to you oh humble seeker, I am somewhere very close to you; I am not to be found in the different practices you are following in the name of religion and rituals.

ना मैं जप मैं ना मैं तप
में, ना मैं बरत उपास में
Na mien
jup mien na mien tup mien, Na mien barat upas mien

I am not to be found in muttering of prayers nor in religious austerity, nor I am to be found in different type of fastings.

ना में क्रिया करम में रहता, नहिं जोग सन्यास
में
Naa mien kriya karam mien rehta, nahi jog sanyas mien

I am not to be found in different rituals, neither in denouncing world for contemplation.

नहिं पिंड में नहिं अंड में, ना ब्रहमांड आकाश में
Nahi pind mien nahi und mien, naa brahamand akash mien.

I am neither to be found in Pind or Und, nor in the region of Brahamand. Pind, Und and Brahmand are the regions of lower existence of which our world is a part. Sant Mat founded by Great Saint Kabir Das propounded the doctrine that the creation can be divided into three grand divisions, the topmost being the region of pure spirituality or the region of ALMIGHTY; there can be no real salvation until the soul reaches the regions of pure spirituality. Here it is also indicated that all religions emanated from the region within the brahmanda, please visit www.santmatunderstanding.blogspot.com

ना मैं प्रकटी भंवर गुफा में, सब स्वांसों की स्वांस
में
Na mien prakati bhanwar gufa mien, sub sanson ki saans mien

Neither I appeared in the region of Bhanwar gufa, I am present in the breath of all breath. Bhanwar Gufa is a region much higher than Brahmand, from where Lord Krishna's advent took place (that is why Lord Krishna explained in Gita that HE had come from a region much higher than Brahma); here it is also indicated that Lord Krishna belonged to Bhanwar Gufa, which is much higher than the region of Brahmanda but still lower than the region of pure spirituality. Kabir says, that ALMIGHTY is the life of all life (breath of all breath); indicating that ALMIGHTY is the life source of all religions emanating from the regions of Brahmanda or Bhanwar Gufa. खोजी होए तुरत मिल जाऊ, इक पल की तलाश
में
Khoji hoye turat mil jaun, ik pal ki talash mien

He who is a real seeker will get me in a moment's search, I can not be attained through different religions and rituals; a true seeker, seeking in the right direction will get me in a moment. The cycle of births and death is endless, here 'Kabir' hints that looking to the vast and endless cycle of rebirths, one can get the ALMIGHTY in a much smaller time by following the correct path. Please visit www.santmatunderstanding.blogspot.com

कहत कबीर सुनो भई साधो, मैं तो हूँ विश्वास में
Kehat Kabir suno bhai sadho, mien to hoon vishwas mien

Thus says Kabir, listen to me, I am only to be found through faith. 'Faith' that tells you that there is an ALMIGHTY and HE is the only might behind everything, when you have this faith you accept everything as having been done by him, without any happiness or sorrow; thus through freedom from happiness or sorrow, you become free from bondage of 'karma'.

His emphatically explained that it was wrong to live in an illussion that one would attain salvation after death and mantained that a person has to earn his salvation during one's lifetime only.

छूटन होए हरी मिलिहे, सो सब झूठी आसा
अबहूँ मिले तो तबहूँ मिलिहे, वरना यमपुर वासा
Chootan Hoye Hari Milihe, So Sab jhoothi aasa
Abhoon Mile To Tabhoon Milihe, Varna Yampur vasa

It is an illussion that one attains salvation after death, you will only meet the ALMIGHTY there (after death) if you have met him here (during lifetime) or else you will be subjected to cycle of rebirth and punishment at the hands of 'Yama'. To take the example of Arjuna and Lord Krishna, it can be understood that Lord Krishna's condition was that for Salvation Arjuna should fight the battle of Mahabharata, his Salvation was guaranteed whether he survived the battle or died in the batte. Arjuna's Salvation was granted once he had fought the battle (very much within his lifetime).

Great Saint Kabir Das explained that one should be prepared to offer/sacrifice his head in his search for real salvation and the competent Guru through whom the ultimate salvation would take place.

यह तो घर है प्रेम का खाला का घर नाहीं
सीस उतारे भुई धरे, सो ही भीतर माहीं

Yeh To Ghar Hai Prem ka, khala ka Ghar Nahin
Sis Utare Bhuii Dhare, So Hi Bhitar Mahin

This is a mansion of immense love, not your aunt's home
He, who is preapred to offer his head, can enter here

या तन विष की बेलरी, गुरु अमृत की खान
सीस दिए जो गुरु मिले, तो भी सस्ता जान
Ya Tan Vish Ki Belry, Guru Amrit Ki Khan
Sis Diye Jo Guru Mile, To Bhi Sasta jaan

This world is a poisonous tree bearing poisonous fruits and the Guru is a never ending source of nectar
It is a cheap bargain, if you can get a Guru by offering your head.

When "KABIR" talks of devotion and sacrificing one's head HE indicates towards the path of surrender. There can only be two paths to real salvation. One of self determination the other of surrender.

On the path of self determination, one tries to reach the Supreme Father through higher spiritual practices which he practices relying on his own strength and will power, ordinarily this path is considered to be very very tough. The other path is that of surrender which is considered to be comparatively easy. Lord Krishna explained the path of determination in different ways to Arjuna in Geeta, but looking to Arjuna's difficulties, in the last chapter Lord Krishna disclosed the path of surrender. The path of surrender is considered comparatively easy, but it is essential and important to understand that any path leading to devotion and true salvation can never be a bed of roses. A true seeker should clearly understand that in choosing such a p
ath he is choosing a path full of difficulties from the worldly point of view. One should be prepared to gladly face different hardships as Arjuna was prepared to fight the battle of Mahabharata and one should be prepared to sever himself from all worldly relations and affairs in the same manner as Arjuna gave up all worldly passion and relations once he chose to surrender at the feet of Lord Krishna.

The understanding of this difficult but ultimate path of surrender is hard to find in worldly life and it is not a surprise that people with such understanding are only few in this world, and amongst these few, there are hardly a 'handful' who are prepared to place their feet on this difficult path of hardships.

Kabir Navpanth Ashram may provide true understanding and all cooperation to those who are prepared to give up all worldly relations and affairs in devoting their life to service of mankind and seeking the Supreme Father to attain true and complete salvation in their lifetime, but are being faced with the complicated question of how to give up worldly affairs or what to do after giving up worldly affairs, such is our prayer at the lotus feet of the Supreme Father and same should be the prayer of each one of us that the Supreme Fther be pleased to bless the true seekers through this Ashram.

Mr. Deepak Kashyap expresses his gratitude at the lotus feet of his Gurus from Sant Mat (www.santmatunderstanding.blogspot.com) and he affirms that it was only with their blessings that Mr. Deepak Kashyap was able to attain the ultimate goal Of Higher Spirituality.

The advent of Great Saint Kabir Das is believed to be his fifth reincarnation in this Brahmand (www.santmatunderstanding.blogspot.com) and fourth on this earth. HIS main message as "Kabir" was that the path to attainment of the ALMIGHTY was very different from the existing religions and rituals. The next incarnation of "Kabir" was as "Param Guru Huzur Sahab Ji Maharaj", the fifth Guru of Radhasoami Faith (Dayalbagh, Agra) and HIS important message then was that Sant Mat would provide opportunity where the true seeker would be able to devote his life to devotion and attainment of higher spirituality after freeing himself from worldly bondages like marriage, profession and possession of wealth etc.

Kabir Navpanth Ashram aims at spreading these messages, like waves in an ocean, so that they would reach every shore in the world. Kabir Navpanth Ashram prays at lotus feet of the Great Saint Kabir Das to bless this Ashram so that it can serve at least like small drop in spreading these waves.

WHAT WOULD THE ASHRAM PROVIDE FOR THE SEEKER

The four guiding principles of the life at Ashram are four 'S' namely,
Seva (Selfless Service), Saadgi (Simplicity), Sehat (Health) and Sadhna (Remembrance of the Lord). The entire life at Ashram is planned round these principles to that the true seeker is able to attain the fifth 'S' of Salvation. The life at Ashram is designed to free the seeker from worldly bondage of taste and lust, and enhance his physical, mental, and spiritual health, so that he may devote his life to selfless service and remembrance of the Lord in a meaningful manner. This is also highly desirable for the fulfillment of the aim of the Ashram because if the seeker is not in good health himself he would not be able to serve others.

The Ashram will make efforts to provide understanding of Higher Spirituality to true seeker (as described above) and the Ashram will provide a platform where such a seeker would get all cooperation, facility and proper environment in pursuing his path of Higher Spirituality. Ashram will also made arrangements for clothing, food and shelter etc. for the seeker, as the case may be.

WHAT HAS THE SEEKER TO KEEP IN MIND

1. Members of the Ashram will make every effort to lead healthy life in a Natural manner so that he can devote his time to selfless service of the diseased and ailing humanity. The life style at Ashram has been designed keeping this aim in view and it will to the duty of every member of the Ashram to follow the rules with devotion.

2. One should seriously introspect and assess his decision to renounce worldly affairs, bondages ,relations, regards, facilities and enjoyments. The decision of renouncing must be based solely on the wish to seek the Higher Spirituality or the Supreme Father. Such decision if based on temporary, momentary or routine sorrows of worldly life, will not prove permanent and the seeker will ultimately have to leave the Ashram.

3. The diet at Ashram would be in accordance with the principles of balanced diet to promote Natural Health. Members of the Ashram will be required to strictly follow the rules with respect to the diet.

4. Eatables cooked in Refined oils, from the market, packed foods, tobacco, sugar (treated, man made) etc.will have to be totally avoided.

5. Members of the Ashram will have to get up early and practice meditation and other exercises, keeping in view the ultimate aim of physical, mental and spiritual promotion. The members should constantly keep in touch with other senior members of the Ashram for guidance in this field.

6.The member should develop the habit of sumiran (remembrance of the Supreme Father all the time) and he should see that every moment of life is spent in sumiran.

7.The member should be prepared to carry out any seva (selfless service) anywhere, as may be required on behalf of the Ashram. It is important for the member to realize that how so ever low or high the seva may seem, in fact it is the seva that offers a sacred opportunity for earning advancement into Higher Spirituality.

8. the members will be required to follow the rules of Natural living and health, and the rules framed by the Ashram from time to time.

HOW TO APPLY

Any true seeker, whose physical and mental condition permits him of earning Higher Spiritual attainments in this very life (he should preferably be between 25 - 40 years of age) can apply for membership of the Ashram, if he is prepared to abide by the principles of Natural Health and Higher Spirituality at the Ashram, and if he is a life member of DKHC (www.dkhcunderstanding.blogspot.com).

On acceptance of the application the seeker should start devoting his time to some seva (selfless services) and in learning other practices and ways of life at the Ashram, with an endeavor that he becomes fit to lead the life at Ashram as early as possible.

When the person will be chosen as member of the Ashram, he would be so informed, and if has to reside at the Ashram he would be required to move into the Ashram. The member would be required to lead a life strictly in accordance with the rules of the Ashram whether he resides in the Ashram or outside the Ashram.

For such true seekers, whose physical/mental fitness does not permit him/her to earn Higher Spiritual attainments in this very life, the Ashram shall make serious efforts to provide them all understanding and cooperation in following the path to Higher Spirituality, so that it may become possible for them to associate themselves with the path of Higher Spirituality in this birth and to complete the task of real attainment in the next birth.
